• Subjects consumed 1500mg of Phase 2 or placebo, together with 4 slices of bread (60g carbs).
• Blood glucose level was measured before and after meal periodically every 15 mins up to 2 hours.

• Phase 2® resulted in reduced postprandial glucose response by 66% in 1st hour.

• Subjects were randomized to receive either Phase 2 or placebo.
• The weight loss (WL) phase was conducted over 12 weeks and the weight maintenance (WM) phase took 24 weeks.

Results:

• In the WL study, subjects lost an average of 7 pounds more than those on placebo.
• 73.5% of the participants in the WM phase successfully maintained their body weight.

Method:

• Subjects randomly received a placebo capsule or a capsule containing 150 mg of African mango extract 30–60 minutes before lunch and dinner over a period of 10 weeks.

Results:

• African Wild Mango supplementation showed significant reduction in weight, body fat and waist circumference.
• Subjects also experienced a decrease in total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, blood glucose, leptin levels and an increase in adiponectin.

• 28 subjects received 1.05 g of African Wild Mango 3 times a day for 1 month.
• 12 subjects were on placebo and the same schedule.

Results:

• African mango treated group showed an average decrease in body weight and LDL (“bad”) cholesterol levels as well as an increase in HDL (“good”) cholesterol levels

A. Method:

• Participants were tested with L-arabinose at dosage levels of 4 and 8 wt% based on sucrose content.

Results:

• Participants are either given a drink with 8% L-Arabinose added to 75 g of sucrose or a sucrose only drink.
